How to Hold the Loog Guitar
While it’s exciting to take your new guitar out of the box and start playing, it’s important to know how to hold the guitar correctly. If you don’t hold it correctly, it may slip and fall out of your hands!
If you have a guitar strap, just attach the strap to the strap buttons, put your strumming arm through, and let the guitar hang on the shoulder of your fretting hand. If you don’t have a strap, sit down and rest the Loog guitar on either thigh so both your hands are free to play the guitar.

How to Restring a Loog Guitar
IMPORTANT! Make sure you use the correct guitar strings when restringing your Loog guitar, or else you may damage your guitar!
Old guitar strings can dramatically alter your instrument’s sound, but more importantly, they’re prone to breaking, so it’s always good to restring your guitar occasionally.
It’s pretty easy to tell when strings need to be replaced: they will look dirty and feel rough on your fingers. Keeping a fresh set of strings on your Loog will go a long way. Check out our guides on how long guitar strings last and how to clean guitar strings to learn more!
Watch Loog’s videos below on how to restring your Loog guitar. If you don’t feel comfortable changing your strings, ask your guitar teacher or a local music shop. They’ll be more than happy to assist.
Things You’ll Need

What Strings To Use
Each Loog guitar uses different types of strings. Make sure you use the correct strings, or it may damage the guitar!
- Three-string Loog guitars use the first three strings in a pack: the E(1st), B(2nd), and G(3rd).
- Loog Mini Acoustic guitars use ball-end Nylon strings.
- All other Loog Acoustic and Acoustic Electric guitars use standard steel acoustic guitar strings. We recommend 0.012 (12-gauge).
- Loog Electric guitars use standard electric guitar strings. We recommend 0.010 (10-gauge) or 0.011 (11-gauge).

How to Tune a Loog Guitar
One of the most important things to learn with your Loog guitar is how to tune it. If the guitar is out of tune, nothing you play will sound right. Tuning any guitar is easy: just pluck a string and turn its tuning peg until the note matches the note displayed on your digital guitar tuner. If you don’t have a digital tuner handy, Loog has an interactive tuner in its app to make your life easy!
