Whether you're looking for something that holds one guitar, multiple guitars, or is amazingly secure and compact, Sweetwater carries a variety of guitar stands for you to peruse.

We carry single, double, triple stands, and the list goes on. You can add as many guitars to your stand as you want, all the way up to seven!

If you want to best protect your finish, look for stands featuring velveteen rubber - it's finish-friendly and won't harm the guitar. Anywhere your guitar comes into contact with the stand, you don't have to worry about the finish. Velveteen rubber is safe for nitrocellulose lacquers, polyurethane lacquers, and basically whatever finish your instrument has.

Some of the guitar stands we carry have systems for securing your guitar around the nut, such as 360-degree upper yokes that make the stands extremely safe. Even if you slide the stand, you don't have to worry about the guitar falling out of it because the system is totally locked around the neck.

If you want to lock your guitar around the body instead, we also carry guitar stands that make that possible. When you will try to pick up your guitar, the stand will come up with it, holding onto the body of the guitar. Besides being very secure, guitar stands with locking systems are very handy for studios or small stages, where you can just pick up your guitar together with its stand and move them around.

Other guitar stands allow you to simply hang the guitar by the headstock on the stand.

Now let's talk a little about the most common guitar stand designs. While all stands are meant to hold the guitar, there's a nice twist in each different design. A-frame guitar stands are nice, sturdy, and compact. They fold down enough to be packed in a bag and won't take up a lot of space wherever you keep it. These stands feature a stepped yoke which steps down in the front for your guitar.

Novice guitarists should check out tubular (tripod) stands. They keep your guitar safe and offer great stability.

Do you have a bunch of guitars but not so much space? Guitar racks are your best option. They can accommodate multiple guitars and will fold flat for when you're on stage or traveling. When you're not on the move, wall hanging stands are perfect for your house. They don't waste any floor space, and they still keep your guitar really safe.

Ever had to switch from one guitar to another right in the middle of the song during a live show or recording sessions? Meet the walk-up guitar stand. This genius stand was designed not just to hold your guitar, but for playing it. Yes, you heard that right.
