  3. On the Wired tab, the mixer can be switched between DHCP mode (automatic assignment by the network) or manual mode to specify the IP address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway of the mixer.
  4. Touch Save at the bottom of the window to save all changes to the mixer.

Navigation on the mixer is very intuitive and will be second nature in no time. The default view for the mixer is the Home screen. This will show a thumbnail of the parameters and metering for all of the channels on the selected layer. Pressing the fader layer buttons to the right of the faders will change your view and the fader positions to see all 28 channels, buses and effect returns, and DCA controls.

Every channel has a select button (SEL) that will show you an overview of the channel’s settings when pressed. Each of the channels’ processors can be selected by tapping that section on the screen. The control knobs on the left will edit the preamp gain, high-pass filter, gate, and compressor thresholds, respectively. To edit other parameters in this view, tap on the control and use the Parameter Knob to change its value. Alternatively, you can touch any parameter and drag it to edit it.

Setting up a monitor mix

Setting up monitor mixes can be done in two ways. First, press SEL on any channel to see the channel edit screen. Dragging the faders on the touchscreen for the buses will allow you to send that channel to any of the eight buses that will feed the monitor mix outputs.

The second way is to select the bus by pressing the Bus fader layer and then SEL on the mix you would like to edit. The faders on the touchscreen will now show your individual channels for the monitor mix. You can select all 28 channels and the effects by paging through the banks at the bottom of the section.

Processing channels

  • Press the SEL button on any channel to see the main overview for the channel. From this page, you can edit any of the channel’s parameters by tapping on the component to highlight it, then turn the PARAMETER knob or touch and drag on the parameter directly.
  • To get a more detailed display of the EQ, Gate, or Compressor, tap the corresponding tab at the top of the screen. If you need to clear specific settings, tap the RESET button on any of the tabs to remove the settings for that processor. Alternatively, you can press the RESET button in the upper left to reset all of the settings for the channel.

Adding and changing effects in your mix

  • Press the FX button on the mixer to view the effects overview. Here you will see the main controls for either of the effects engines. Tap the ADVANCED button to see more parameters to shape your effects further.
  • To select a different effect type, tap the EFFECT button at the bottom of either effect engine to change the effect between reverbs, delays, choruses, or an empty effect slot.
  • The delay can be synchronized to the music for all delay types by touching on the TAP SYNC button to enable tap sync. The PARAMETER knob now functions as a tap tempo control, even while on any page in the mixer. Tap the knob along with the music to set the delay time.
  • Press SEL on the Main LR channel, and you now see most of the same controls that you see on the channel edit screen. You can also engage and edit the Graphic EQ for the outputs for room tuning and feedback prevention. Tap on the frequency ranges, and the mixer’s faders will now control the graphic EQ controls. You can edit all 31 bands of the EQ by banking through the frequencies and selecting them on the screen.
