Pro Tools Software Activation

1. iLok registration and installation

iLok is a software licensing system that uses the iLok Cloud, iLok License Manager app, and iLok USB dongles to activate your software. Software that requires an iLok license can’t be used unless the licenses is detected. Learn more on iLok’s Licensing System page.

2. Pro Tools registration and installation

To get started with Pro Tools, you need to register with Avid and synchronize your iLok account.  If you already have an Avid or iLok account, continue using the same account(s). This ensures subscriptions and upgrades apply to the correct Avid Master Account. Don’t create a new account unless you are a first time user or purposely creating a separate account.
