PRS has announced the new P245, a vintage-inspired single-cutaway solid-body electric guitar with a built-in LR Baggs/PRS piezo system for acoustic guitar tones. The P245 features a 24-1/2″ scale length, has 22 frets, and utilizes PRS’s 58/15 vintage-style treble and bass humbucking pickups. A mahogany body with a figured maple top combine with a mahogany top and rosewood fingerboard for classic appearance, feel, vibe, and tones. A variety of finish colors will be available, and the P245 may be ordered with the P245 Artist Package that includes an Artist Grade flame maple top, Artist Grade neck and fingerboard woods, and a choice of gold, nickel, or hybrid hardware.
The P245 is expected to begin shipping in the first quarter of 2015.
