Never was the PRS fan boy but I am now. Sold the CS LP and go 2 SE's. The 594 and the NF53 is an absolute truck load of value here! Mr Smith, don't change a thing! If you find you cannot meet the price point, just raise the price a little it's worth it!!

It's definitely worth the money. The tones are good. The rock tones are good. If there was one thing that I would change, it would be the location of the volume knob. A traditional control plate from T style. Guitars are very good for me. It's the primary reason why I didn't purchase a DGT or accustomed 24. The McCarty 594 is absolutely killer and so is the NF 53.

Great Guitar. You hear the out of the box story about prs guitars, well in this case it was absolutely true. I opened the gig bag and strummed an E major. A tweak of the B string and it was perfectly in tune. The intonation was also perfect. Sweetwater and PRS, great combination.

This guitar looks better in person than in pictures. The one thing I immediately noticed was how resonent the guitar is. You can really feel the vibration of the sound in guitar body, even without plugging into an amp.

I really like the neck, especially the "raw" feeling on the back of the neck.

It came well set up and almost in tune. The pickups are silent but do not sound like typical humbuckers. They do have great clarity and approach a single coil sound, but not exactly. Playing with tone knobs did allow getting a bit closer to single coil sound. It does get a tele-like twang. Overall, it sounds great with these new narrow-field pickups, easy to play, and great looking (wife approved). I highly recommend this guitar.

So I've only had my latest PRS SE (7 now) for just over a few days. My sales engineer; Jason Thiele hooked me up with a gorgeous monster of a NF53. It had been on backorder due to popularity so I waited a month. I had gone to a local know guitar store and tried one out to be sure it was right for my tastes. But I am a Sweetwater loyalist so I reached out to Jason.

Upon receiving I waited 24 hrs before opening to allow for temperature change (I live in Texas) After opening the box, I was floored by the gorgeous popping swamp ash grain (dog hair). I run a Helix Floor (from Jason as well) and I'm still working on dialing in the tone I want. That said , running straight through my Princeton's or VOX (all via (Jason) it sounds incredible.

The DD NF pickups add incredible girt to the tonality just like my NF3 and the Swamp Ash Special center pickup. The neck is chunky like my SE McCarty 594 but has a satin vs gloss neck finish. Both play incredibly smooth I have long fingers so they work well for me.

Just received my NF 53 last Friday. I waited 24 hours before opening the box to allow it to adjust to the weather here in Texas. Upon opening the box, my Sales Engineer , Jason Thiele hooked me up with a stunningly beautiful guitar. The wood grain pops dramatically on both the front and back of the door. I have bought a few PRS SE guitars now through Jason from Sweetwater. I am always appreciative of the customer service and the rapport I have received over the years. I will write a deeper review on my guitar well I've had a chance to play it for a few hours.

Great sounding and feel. Love the chunky neck and the way it fills your hand. The new pickups have a great tone quality.

Amazing build from top to bottom. Incredible (& truly groundbreaking) pick-ups. Articulate perfect ringing notes & singing chords!! Fantastic playability. Exceptional value. PRS nailed this one. I mean NAILED IT!!! No hype.

Have had this for a week. I knew going in that it wasn't going to sound just like my telecasters. It has a chunky neck that is really comfortable to play. Fit and finish were spot on. Loud and lively acoustically. Has a ton of sustain when plugged in (both clean and with gain). Super happy with it!

I bought this guitar looking for a mid-gain tone that versatile enough to clean up and handle higher gain when needed. This guitar and stock electronics knock it out of the park! Tuners are great, neck feels great, setup was perfect out of the box. Price point is great. Only minor complaint is the volume and tone pot sweep is not tapered great and kinda falls off a cliff quick when rolled back but that is an easy swap.

This guitar is amazing I have 15 other guitars Gibson, Les Pauls SG a couple core PRS. G&L Legacey Deluxe charvell There are great guitars this PRS SE NF53. Simply one out it is the best playing incredible sounds amazing, clean country rock, metal whatever you throw at it same thing on the amps I ran it through several different amps EVH Friedman fender. It was amazing I am simply Blown away The fit and finish blows my Gibsons out of the water, but I guess mostly, it's just super easy to play and it's tones for days no matter where you're at with pick up what position roll the volume back roll the tone back there's so many different tones
I have been searching for guitar like this for a couple years. If you're on the fence I would say get it while you can. I can't speak highly enough about this guitar and of course Sweetwater.
