I get the following error with using my 002 control surface with Pro Tools: “Pro Tools cannot communicate with Avid 002.”
This is a known issue with the 002 control surface. When you enter Standalone Mode on the 002 with an open session in Pro Tools 10.3.6 or Pro Tools 11, communication is lost between the 002 and Pro Tools.
Make sure you save and close your session (you don’t have to quit Pro Tools) before entering standalone mode on the 002 control surface.
Note: the 002 Control Surface and Rack are currently not officially supported with Pro Tools 11. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that your 002 will work with Pro Tools 11.
