How Do I Sync My Korg Volca Modules Together?
In this guide, we will show you how to sync multiple Korg Volca modules together. Follow the sections below to get started.
Syncing multiple modules
On every Korg Volca module, there is a SYNC section with an input and an output. This allows you to sync the Volca’s with each other using old-school audio-based sync. They use an audio “blip” to advance the clock on the sequencer. When syncing, the receiving module will read the same blip.
Syncing multiple modules is easy. Just connect a standard ⅛” headphone cable from the SYNC OUT of one module to SYNC IN of the other. It will automatically sync tempo, as well. There’s really no defined limit to how many modules you can chain together.
No playback when syncing?
Always be sure to connect SYNC OUT to SYNC IN when using multiple synths or else you won’t get any playback or sound.

Recording into a DAW
After you sync the modules together, you can also record them within your DAW. Connect a ⅛” cable from the HEADPHONE jack and use a ⅛” to ¼” adapter to connect it to an available channel on your audio interface. If you want to record another module while syncing, you will need to connect it to another input on the interface.
