Customers who have enabled Parental Controls (specifically, if Limit Applications is enabled in Parental Controls) will receive an error message that says there is an “Unrecognized component” and PT10 will not launch on any user account until Limit Applications is disabled and PT10 is uninstalled and reinstalled.
According to Avid, user accounts in which Parental Controls are enabled (Managed accounts) are not supported and users should instead use either an Administrator account or a Standard account to run Pro Tools.
Note: One user was able to use Managed accounts with Pro Tools 8 and 9.
