Yamaha CC1 Quickstart Guide
The Yamaha CC1 is a unique USB controller made for content creators, streamers, and audio-recording enthusiasts alike. In this guide, we will show you how to register, set up, and navigate the device to get you up and running. Register the Yamaha CC1
Before getting set up, you’ll first need to register the CC1 with Yamaha. Upon registration, you will receive additional software, updates, and warranty information. Keep your Sweetwater invoice handy, as you’ll need it to complete the registration process.
- Go to the Yamaha Registration page and sign in to your Yamaha account. If you don’t have one, then click “Click here to Sign Up” and fill out the necessary information.
- On your account homepage, click “Product Registration” then “Register My Product” and fill out the information. Click “Complete Registration”to finish the process.
Download TOOLS for CC1
Your Yamaha CC1 needs the TOOLS for CC1 to work correctly with your computer. The download includes the Control Center standalone application, which is where you’ll assign knobs, buttons, and keys on the unit. It also includes the necessary driver, so it communicates with your computer.
- Go to the Yamaha CC1 product download page and locate the latest version for your OS.
- Scroll down to download the CC1 hardware User Guide and the Control Center software User Guide.
- Navigate to your Downloads folder and locate and extract the file.
- Launch the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.

CC1 Setup & Connections
Setting up and connecting the CC1 is straightforward. Here are a few tips to get you started.
- Connect the CC1 to your computer using the included USB cable and launch the Yamaha Control Center software. The STOP button should be lit white.
- A green Power Full notification should then appear in the upper-left corner of the software.
- If you see a Low Power notification, then that means it’s not receiving enough power from the computer. Use a USB wall charger or a 5V portable power supply if this is the case.
Yamaha CC1 Firmware Update
Yamaha will release firmware updates periodically that add new features and address bugs in the latest version. The update process will be done in the Control Center app, so make sure it’s installed beforehand!
- Connect the CC1 to your computer and launch Control Center.
- Click the Gear icon in the top-right corner of the app then click “Firmware Update.”
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the firmware update process.

Navigate the Yamaha CC1
The Yamaha CC1 is easy to navigate. The controls will function differently depending on what profile is currently loaded in the Control Center software.
- Profiles can be edited in Control Center by pressing the < and > buttons next to the LCD buttons on the top panel.
- Select the control you wish to update by clicking the section on the CC1 UI on the right then clicking the chosen knob/button.
Stream Deck Controls
The great thing about the Yamaha CC1 is that you can use it with the Elgato Stream Deck software. After you download the Stream Deck software, you can program it however you like.
- Connect the CC1 to your computer.
- Go to the Elgato Stream Deck Software page and download the latest version for your OS.
- Navigate to your downloads then locate and launch the downloaded file.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
