Pearl eRoadshow ERS1000 Setup Guide
The Pearl eRoadshow ERS1000 is a fantastic kit for any drummer out there. In this guide, we will show you how to set up and use it for the first time. Follow the sections below to get started.
Setup & Connections
The Pearl eRoadshow is a lightweight kit that’s easy to assemble and use. Just follow the included setup guide or watch the video below to learn how to set up and connect the kit. Here are a few tips to get you started!
- Place the kit on carpet or on a drum rug. This will reduce the risk of the kit sliding around and double-triggering.
- Make sure to use the included hook-and-loop cable ties to secure the wire harness to the rack. Not only will it make the kit look tidy, but there’s also less chance of tripping over cables.
- The cables are labeled, so make sure you’re connecting them to the correct pads.
- Don’t overtighten any hardware and don’t tighten the cymbal pads all the way!

How to Use the eRoadshow Module
The eRoadshow is straightforward to use. There’s no menu diving, so you can spend your time playing instead of navigating through pages of settings.
- Press KIT and use the jog wheel or +/- buttons to select the kit.
Adjust Pad Settings
Once your kit is set up, it’s best practice to optimize the pad settings for the most natural performance. While the factory settings are a great starting point, not all drummers play the same, so taking the time to update the module will set you up for success! Check out our guide to learn more about electronic drum terms!
- Press the Kit button then press Select to enter the pad parameter adjustment mode.
- Tap the drum pad you wish to update then use the +/- buttons to select the parameter. Use the jog wheel to change its value.

- Press the Click button to start the routine then press the Metronome button to set the starting tempo.

Routines
These are the three routines available on the eRoadshow ERS1000.
- Note Detection (C1): Play along with the metronome. The module will display whether the stroke was behind, ahead, or right on the beat.
- Silent Stroke (C2): Silent Stroke is similar to Note Detection, but as you perform, the metronome will only play every other measure. This helps you develop your internal timing.
- When you press Click to stop the routine, you will see a score from 0 to 100. The higher the score, the better you’ve done.
- Open to Closed Roll/Sticking Mode (C3): This mode is perfect for practicing your rudiments and rolls. When you start the routine, the metronome will start at a slow tempo and gradually increase to the fastest controlled tempo then decrease.
- Rudiments are the building blocks for great technique. Learn more about them at Vic Firth’s rudiment hub.

The estimated required monthly payment shown which excludes taxes and delivery equals the amount financed divided by the number of months in the promo period, rounded up to the next cent. During the last month(s) of the promo period the required monthly payment may be reduced due to this rounding. These payments apply only with the financing offer shown. If you make these payments by the due date each month, you should pay off this amount financed within the promo period, if it is the only balance you are paying off. If you have other balances on your account, this payment will be added to any other minimum monthly payments.
