Alesis Strata Registration Guide

In this guide, we will show you how to register your Alesis Strata electronic kit with Alesis. Follow the sections below to get started.

Register the Alesis Strata

Before using the Alesis Strata drum kit, you must first register the kit with Alesis and download the inMusic Software Center. Upon registration, you’ll gain access to a 90-day free trial of Drumeo lessons, a copy of the BFD player, and BFD expansion libraries.

1. Log in to your inMusic account. If you don’t have an account yet, click Create Account and fill out the necessary information.
2. Once you’re logged in, click REGISTER NEW PRODUCT. Enter the serial number starting after (21). This can be found on the box, underneath the module, and in the Settings menu.
   • The Strata will now show under your registered products.

Redeem Drumeo Trial

1. When you’ve logged in to your inMusic account, click Offers, choose Redeem, and copy the voucher code.
2. Go to Drumeo’s Alesis Strata page, paste the redemption in the Code field, enter the necessary information, and click Get Started.
3. On the next page, click Drums, select E-Kit, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Authorize BFD Player and Expansion Libraries

1. On your inMusic account homepage, select Alesis Strata, click View Downloads, select Software downloads, and choose the installer for your OS. Alternatively, you can go directly to the inMusic Software Center download page.
   • Keep your inMusic account browser window open, as it will automatically link your account to the inMusic Software Center.
2. Go to your Downloads folder, locate and launch the installer, and follow the on-screen instructions.
   • You should automatically be logged in to your inMusic account. If not, enter your inMusic account credentials to complete the installation process.
3. Connect the Alesis Strata module directly to your computer via the USB-B port. When prompted, click REDEEM SOFTWARE.
   • Do not connect the module to a USB hub (especially a passive one). It won’t provide enough power to transmit data to and from your computer.
4. Click NEXT. When prompted, click the checkbox next to Recommended, then click NEXT.
5. Select all BFD software boxes, then click DONE. Once that is complete, the BFD expansion libraries and BFD player will automatically be installed.
