TC Electronic, a company that knows more than a thing or two about audio processing, has announced two new PowerCore plug-ins that feature an innovative approach to the user interface. The first plug-in is called Fabrik R, which is a high end reverb with four configurations: FabrikLive, FabrikHall, FabrikPlate, and FabrikClub. Then there’s Fabrik C, which includes channel EQ, de-essing, and both 3-band and full-band compression. Both are built around TC’s MINT interface, which stands for Meta Intuitive Navigation Technology. Despite the fancy name, the new interface allows users to intuitively mold their audio with just a few twists of the “virtual knobs.” It looks and feels easy, but hundreds of high resolution parameters are getting tweaked as the knobs are turned. Everything actually happens in the background, leaving users free to simply get creative. No more tedious adjustments in layer after layer of menu options. Sounds good to us!
