The popular PRS McCarty model is back! Named for the president of Gibson during the “golden era” of guitar building (1950-1966), Ted McCarty (famous for the Flying V, ES-335, and other ground-breaking instruments), the model was introduced by Paul Reed Smith as an homage to his mentor and long-time friend. The original McCarty was introduced in 1994, but the model is now reintroduced! The new McCarty features a slightly thicker back for enhanced tone and sustain, as well as the new 58/15 pickups, which were personally designed by Paul Reed Smith. These pickups offer vintage-style tone with exceptional clarity and focused midrange. A push-pull tone control and 3-way toggle, with master volume and tone controls complete the electronics. Other features include a bound rosewood fingerboard and a PRS stoptail bridge.
