Why doesn’t my insert cable work with my X32?
A TRS to Dual TS cable works as an insert on many analog mixers because they use a single TRS jack for output and input. However, the X32 uses independent output and input jacks.
To use your outboard effects with the X32:
- Connect a cable from an output on the X32 to the input of your effects processor
- Then, connect another cable from the output of the effect to an input on the X32 as shown in the picture below.
Note: In this picture, we’re using the Aux in/out but you could also use the XLR outs on the X32.
