Why am I getting a “Permission denied” when trying to create a Pro Tools Project?

This is typically seen on Mac systems where permissions are set incorrectly. Permissions issues are not uncommon and rarely indicative of larger issues. The steps below will resolve this error.
- Go to Documents, Control + click (right click) on the Pro Tools folder, and choose Get Info.
- At the bottom of the Get Info window, under Sharing and Permission, set Privilege it to Read & Write for your user account.
