What are the system requirements for the PCIe-424 system?
The PCIe-424 system has the following system requirements.
Note: This technote applies only to 424 systems using the PCIe-424 card . For information on 424 systems using the original PCI-424 card, refer to the technote, “What are the system requirements for the PCI-424 system?”
For Mac OS X:
- PowerPC G5 Power Mac with PCIe slots or Intel-based Mac Pro is required; earlier Power Macs are not supported
- 128 MB RAM; 512 MB or more recommended
- Mac OS X version 10.3, 10.4, 10.5, or 10.6; v10.3.9 or later recommended
- Hard disk drive 20 GB or larger
- Available PCIe slot
- CD-ROM drive for installation
For Windows:
- Pentium CPU (or equivalent) 800 MHz or faster; Pentium III CPU or faster recommended
- 128 MB RAM; 512 MB or more recommended
- Windows 7, Vista, or XP
- Hard disk drive, preferrably 20 GB or larger
- Available PCIe slot
- CD-ROM drive for installation
