How to set up a Control|24 in Pro Tools on a PC.
Follow the genral instructions for ethernet control surface installation for Windows systems:
1. Go to the Start Menu, double-click on Control Panel, and then double-click on Network Connections.
2. Right-click on the relevant Local Area Connection,** and then choose “Properties.”
3. Click on “Install,” select “Protocol” and click the “Add” button.
4. Click on “Have Disk.”
5. Navigate to the DigiNet.inf file, located in Program Files/Common Files/Digidesign/DAE/Controllers on your Local Disk C: drive.
6. Follow the instructions on-screen to complete the installation.
7. Restart your computer.
Then, to set up the Control|24 in Pro Tools:
1. Go to the Setup menu and choose “Peripherals.”
2. Click on “Ethernet Controllers.”
3. Check the “Enable” box, and select the relevant Local Area Connection.**
4. Under controller #1, select the Control|24.
5. Press “OK.” You may wish to reboot Pro Tools, but it should not be necessary.
** The “relevant Local Area Connection” refers to the ethernet port in which the Control|24 is plugged.
