Pro Tools is slow to launch or becomes unresponsive on Windows.
Be sure you do not have a CD or DVD mounted in your optical drive. As of the writing of this article, there is a known issue with Pro Tools where it will be very slow or unresponsive if a CD or DVD is inserted in the optical drive. To resolve, quit Pro Tools, eject the disc, then relaunch.
