Pro Tools DAE Error -6084 on Windows systems
The audio device buffer overflowed. This might indicate an invalid clock source. If this occurs frequently, try decreasing the “H/W Buffer Size” in the Playback Engine panel. DAE -6084 occurs during playback using a FireWire Audio Interface such as the 002, 003, Mbox 2 Pro, or Mbox Pro. This buffer underflow error can result from poor FireWire bus performance.
- Try to use an Avid qualified FireWire Host Bus Adapter card.
- On Windows 7, try switching your 1394 Controller driver to the Legacy FireWire Controller Driver
