My Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S-Series controller does not output MIDI when not connected to a computer.
In order to use the Komplete Kontrol S-Series keyboard in standalone mode, the firmware and software must meet the following requirements:
- Firmware 56 or higher must be installed on the Komplete Kontrol keyboard. You can update the firmware using the Device Updater for Komplete Kontrol.
- Controller Editor 1.8.0 must be installed on your computer. The latest version of the Controller Editor is included with the latest Komplete Kontrol software update.
Once those items are installed, you can successfully use the Komplete Kontrol in standalone mode. With the software, you can set up a template to be used as the standalone default by right-clicking on the template and selecting Set as Standalone Default.
