My MOTU MIDI interface is not working properly with Pro Tools 11 or later on Windows.

There are some MOTU MIDI interfaces which feature standalone features, such as the MIDI Express XT and the Micro Express, that cause one or more of the following symptoms to occur when using Pro Tools 11 or later when running on Windows:

• Pro Tools becomes unstable and crashes when shutting down
• MIDI stops working
• Creating a new blank session causes Pro Tools to hang
• Cannot close Task Manager
• Errors occur when trying to quit such as:
  • The path is not found. (3)
  • The parameter is incorrect. (87)

This issue is specific to Pro Tools 11 and later and does not affect Pro Tools 10 or earlier. Avid is currently investigating the issue and will post a fix in a future update for Pro Tools.
