How to fix “Fatal Error” messages when launching Pro Tools on a Windows computer.
If you’re getting an error message that says “Fatal Error” when launching Pro Tools, try uninstalling and reinstalling Windows C++ Redistributable.

Uninstalling C++ Redistributable is done just like any other program on your system. The different versions and components will be listed in Programs and Features (or Add or Remove Programs for Windows XP). To uninstall Microsoft Redistributable C++:

2. Uninstall “Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x64)”
