How do I configure my External Control Surface in Acid Pro 6.0?

Make sure the device is in Mackie mode (please refer to your device’s manual for information on how to do this). In Acid Pro 6.0, go into the Options menu, select Preferences and select External Control & Automation. Then make sure that there is nothing listed under “Active control devices.” If there is, right click on the device and select remove. Next, select “Mackie Control” from the drop down menu and select Add. Now click on the MIDI tab and select the MIDI control option for your device. Each device has a different name for this option, so you may want to select all of the options just to make sure that you are not missing the right setting. Select Apply and go to the External Control & Automation tab again. Double click on Mackie Control that is listed below “Device” under the Active control devices option. Select “Emulated Mackie Control Device” from the “Device Type” drop down menu. Then click on the Scan Button. Select the options under “MIDI Input” and “MIDI Output” that reference the control surface option for your device. Click on OK, then Apply and OK once again. Now click on Options and make sure that you have a check mark next to the External Control Option. Your control surface should now be connected to Acid Pro 6.0.
