Why can’t I save a PLAY instrument in Mac OSX?

If you try and save an instrument that you have loaded while using PLAY in Mac OS X and the “Save” button is “greyed out”, check the permissions on the folder to which you are trying to save the instrument (.ewi file). An example of such a folder is the default instruments folder for whichever library you are using. Select the folder and press Command + i to get information on the folder, and at the bottom of the info window make sure the Ownership and Permissions is set to “Read & Write”. If you cannot change it click the little lock under “details” and you then should be able to change the permissions.
