Why can’t I import a CD track into the Workspace in Pro Tools 7?
The file you are trying to impot may be a .cda formatted file. This is the file extension typically found on CD’s. To get around this, you can go to File > Import > Audio to Track, select the file, and press the “Convert” button, then “Done.” Your track will be converted from .cda to the file type you are currently working with in your session, and import it to a newly created audio track.
