After installing the drivers for my Avid Pro Tools Duet or Quartet, the Pro Tools I/O Control Panel does not appear in Windows 7 or 8.
- Navigate to the following folder:
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Avid\Pro Tools IO Control\Panel
- Right click the file “PT IO Control Panel” and Select “Create Shortcut”
- Windows will display a warning “Windows can’t create a shortcut here. Do you want the shortcut to be placed on the desktop instead?”
- Click “Yes”
- A Shortcut for the Avid Quartet or Duet will now appear on your desktop.
