As usual, when we come across a product that’s well designed and offers up lots of cool features, we want to make it available to our hundreds of thousands of customers. Which is why we have added Solid State Logic (hereafter referred to as SSL) to our list of partners. SSL makes some of the most revered consoles in the world. So it’s no surprise that more hit records have been recorded and mixed on SSL desks than any other console in the world. Unfortunately, most of us don’t have the budget or, more importantly, the space to add an SSL console. But what if you could take one of these amazing consoles apart and then rackmount the individual pieces? Thankfully, you don’t have to – SSL has done it for you!
The XLogic SuperAnalogue Channel features circuitry identical to the phenomenal SSL XL 9000 console while the XLogic E Signature Channel has a slightly grittier sound that’s identical to the XL4000 mixer. The XLogic G Series Compressor is the perfect match for either, delivering world class compression within a SuperAnalogue design topology. SSL also offers the XLogic X-Rack, a system that can accommodate up to eight rackmount modules. Right now the Mic Amp, Channel EQ, and Dynamics modules are available. As you’d expect, they all sound incredible, but what really makes them stand out is the Total Recall function which allows you to store up to 32 presets in the X-Rack’s memory, and recall these presets later. Finally there’s the XLogic ADC Card, a 24-bit/192kHz A/D Converter for for the SSL XLogic Channel with word clock and AES input.
