The latest version of UAD software from Universal Audio — v8.0 — is here! The big news is that this version ups the ante big time with the Apollo Expanded release. Apollo Expanded allows up to four Apollos (of any type: mix and match Apollo Duo, Apollo Quad, Apollo 16, or Apollo Twin) to be combined at once, and up to six total UAD-2 devices to be used simultaneously on a single computer.
This release also includes the all-new Console 2.0 software, which provides many new capabilities and workflow options, and more than 25 user-requested features.
At this time, Apollo Expanded and Console 2.0 support Thunderbolt-equipped Apollos, but Firewire support will be added by Fall of this year.
