Waves has announced a new plug-in developed with producer/engineer Eddie Kramer (Hendrix, Zeppelin, and many more), MPX Master Tape. MPX emulates the tone of a rare tape machine comprising an Ampex 350 transport and 351 electronics. Tape speed, bias, flux, and wow and flutter are all adjustable for comprehensive control over the effect produced. MPX can also create slapback and feedback delay effects. According to Waves, MPX Master Tape is the “reel deal.”
Waves has also launched two new Signature Series collections: Vocal Collection and Bass & Drum Collection. Each collection includes specific plug-ins drawn from the Maserati, Kramer, CLA, and JJP Signature Series, with the plug-ins chosen for their ability to create great sound on vocals or bass and drum respectively.
