Most people are genuinely amazed at just what Garage Band is capable of. For example, if you have edited a number of audio parts (referred to in Garage Band as Real Instruments), you may wish to save all the parts as one region, thus making it much easier to move into another project. To do this, you would first click on the track header for the top track to select all the regions in that track. Next, you choose Edit > Join Selected or simply press Command-J to join all of the regions into one clean, merged file. A dialog box appears warning you that a new file will be created. To proceed, click on the Create button or simply hit the Return key, then press Command-S to save this file. It’s really that simple!
