Since 1987, Fender Custom Shop has been building custom instruments for the likes of Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, Merle Haggard, and many other legendary guitarists in addition to countless gigging musicians. Of course, Fender's heritage goes back much farther, and the Fender Custom Shop has created everything from faithful reproductions of iconic Stratocasters and Telecasters, to fully-tweaked custom versions of classic Fender instruments.

Occasionally the Master Builders at Fender Custom Shop will take an opportunity to show off their mastery with museum-quality instruments that showcase the luthier's art. For example Master Builder Yuriy Shishkov found inspiration in the old-world craftsmanship of Faberge eggs and created the Pine Cone Stratocaster. This stunning guitar features a hand-carved Faberge-like pattern on the body, exquisite gold hardware, hand-milled knobs, 10 feet of hand-inlaid gold wire in the fretboard, and 550 diamonds hand-inlaid into the guitar's body.

Because of their top-notch craftsmanship and attention to detail, many Master Builders at Fender Custom Shop have also become the "go-to guys" for many iconic guitarists. Todd Krause not only builds guitars but also maintains them for Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Stu Hamm, and Roscoe Beck. Greg Fessler has built custom one-off Strats and Teles for Jeff Healey, Neil Schon, 311, and many others. When you look at all of the legendary musicians that have guitars made for them by the Fender Custom Shop, it's a list of the most talented and respected guitarists in the world.

Fender Custom Shop produces a wide range of instruments, and they're eager to help guitarists attain their own dream guitar too.
