I would like to remove un-used audio date from the samples I’ve loaded in order to save sample memory. Is it possible to edit the start and end of a sample loaded into Kontakt?

When I configure my Kontakt ro use my Digi 001 as my sound card (MME) my computer starts thinking for ever until “not responding”. If by any chance I select the DirectSound driver it freezes even faster and I lose my mouse and have to re-start the machine.

In Kontakt , can I offset one sample by velocity ie. I have 3 multi samples, each spanning 61 keys. Each of these sets of multisamples are assigned their own group. When I hit the key, I want one of the sounds, say A, to be audible immediately. The others I want to be delayed a little before sounding.

How can I develop Kontakt instruments and multis on either Mac or PC for use on either Mac or PC? I have tried and get error messeges.

Using ProTools 5 with OMS 2.3.8, when sending MIDI from ProTools to “Kontakt” (Directconnect)no MIDI channels are displayed. Instead of the ProTools MIDI Track Output displaying ‘Kontakt 1-16’ it just says ‘Kontakt’ with no option to send to a specific MIDI Channel within Kontakt.

Kontakt does not receive from my midi interface. I use Freemidi, and Kontakt sees as an input. I think I have to select the UM interface.

i downloaded the kontakt 1.2 update installer and the DFD installer onto my OSX desktop. my OSX is on a separate hard drive partition from my OS 9.2. then i dragged them onto my MAC HD drive which contains my OS 9.2 and i opened the 1.2 update into my KONTAKT folder and i opened the DFD installer into my system folder as instructed. when i click on the KONTAKT options window i do not get the DFD option. the update log says it was installed. have i installed it properly? do i need to download them directly to my OS 9.2 desktop? or is there something else i have overlooked?
