How can I get tracks recorded at another studio at a different sample rate to align with my project? I have imported them into the project and they don’t line up in either pitch, time, or both.
Double-click on the file that doesn’t fit, bringing up the wave editor. Go to Factory – Time and Pitch Machine. Here, you can adjust time and pitch independently. The easiest thing is to find out about how many seconds the file is off at the end of the project, and then adjust the file to fit. For example, if your song is 4:00, and the track you imported comes to 3:58, or if your track is about 2 seconds ahead of the rest of the project, you’ll want to stretch the 3:58 to 4:00 and everything should line up. You can also adjust pitch at the same time or later. You can always undo this if you didn’t pick the right numbers, and try again.
