Slave Clock connections and power up (boot) procedure for ADAT I/O, Pro Tools, and the SMPTE Slave Driver (SSD).

– SSD Slave Clock out to the ADAT Interface Slave Clock in.- ADAT Interface Slave Clock out to the first Audio Interface Slave Clock in. (Daisy chain the Slave Clock to other Audio Interfaces.)- Slave Clock out from the last Audio Interface to the SSD Slave Clock in.- Set the Ext Sync Select switch on the back of the SSD to 256x.The “4/8” button on the rear of the ADAT Interface should be in when using an 8ch Peripheral (882, 888, etc.)Power up order:1) Hard Drives2) ADAT (set ADAT to Internal Sync + )3) ADAT Interface4) SSD5) Pro Tools Interface6) ComputerPro Tools can then be run as a slave (set SSD to Resolve mode) or as a master (set SSD to Generate From Slave).Note: PT 3.1 or later is required for SSD sync in the above configuration.
