Slate Digital Software Activation Instructions

In this guide, we will show you how to register and install Slate Digital software. You’ll learn how to create an iLok account, register the Voucher Code, and then install your software. Follow each of the sections below to get started.

Create an iLok account

Slate Digital software is licensed with iLok. That means to use it, you will need to connect its iLok license to your iLok USB stick. If you don’t already have an iLok account, you’ll need to create one and install the iLok License Manager app. Follow the steps below to get started. If you already have an account, pass these steps and continue to Register Voucher Code. Learn more about iLok licensing in our iLok Quickstart Guide.

*Currently iLok Cloud Sessions are only supported for All Access Pass members on Slate Digital subscriptions.

1. Go to iLok’s registration page and complete the registration form. Take note of your User ID and password.
2. Open the iLok Account Activation email and click on the verification link.
3. Download and install the iLok License Manager.
4. Launch the iLok License Manager app and sign in to your iLok account.
   • (optional) Connect an iLok and when prompted, click Yes to register it to your account.

Register Voucher Code

To access your Slate Digital software, you first need to register your Voucher Code. Open the Software Activation Instructions email from your Sweetwater Sales Engineer and copy the code. Follow the instructions below and paste the code to register your product. Once registered your software is downloaded from the My Products page.

1. Log in to your Slate Digital account. If you don’t have an account, you can create one here.
   • Make sure to use an email address you currently have access to. Reset your password if you’re not able to log in.
2. Next, go to the redemption page and paste the voucher code you received from your Sweetwater Sales Engineer.
3. When prompted, enter your iLok User ID to synchronize your Slate account with your iLok account. 
   • (optional) Once registered, launch the iLok License Manager and transfer the license to your iLok USB dongle.
4. Go to your Slate Digital account’s My Products page to view your registered products.

Download and install

Once the Voucher Code is registered and license deposited to your iLok account, you can download and install your software. Go to the Slate Digital Installers page to download and then install your plug-in(s). Restart your DAW and it will scan for the new plug-ins.

1. Go to the Slate Digital Installers page.
2. Find your software product and click the download link compatible with your system.
3. Open your downloads folder and launch the installer file:
   • PC: Right-click the .zip file, select Extract all…, and then click Extract. Double-click the new .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions.
   • Mac: Double-click the .dmg file. In the window that appears, double-click the .pkg file and follow the on-screen instructions.
4. Launch your DAW of choice and insert the Infinity EQ plug-in to a track.
