Roland VGA-7 Setting Up the GK-2A Pickup

To ensure the best sound quality, you’ll need to adjust the VGA-7’s pickup driver settings. (Refer to Pages 14 – 18 of the VGA-7 Owners Manual for more detailed instructions.)

1. Press GK button so it’s lit.

2. Press PARAMETER UP or DOWN until “1” is shown at the left of the display.

3. Press SELECT/VALUE UP or DOWN to select the pickup type being used.

4. Press PARAMETER UP or DOWN until “3” is shown at the left of the display.

5. Press SELECT/VALUE UP or DOWN to set the scale length of your guitar. This is measured from its bridge to its nut.

6. Press PARAMETER UP or DOWN until “4” is shown at the left of the display.

7. Play your low E string. The display will show “6.”

8. Press SELECT/VALUE UP or DOWN to specify the distance from your bridge to your pickup. This step must be performed for each string.

9. Press PARAMETER UP or DOWN until “5” is shown at the left of the display.

10. Play your low E string. The TUNER indicator will show the sensitivity level.

11. Press SELECT/VALUE UP or DOWN to adjust the sensitivity until the green indicator in the center is lit. This step must also be performed for each string.
