I have a Older DAT that wont seen to clock to my 828 SPDIF out, or I get a “PROHIBITED” as if I copied some copyrighted CD!

We have seen this and have found a possible fix.It seems to be a calibration issue.Simply pop the top off of your 828.(after the top is off hook it up to your system and power it and your SoftWare up.Be carefull!! Now on the inside of your 828 by the S/PDIF jack you will see a white phillips head screw adjustment.Put your Dat into “External” Clock mode and make sure your 828 is set to “Internal” Clock. Now put the Dat into record ready mode.Try moving the screw in very SMALL increments! You must wait about 4 Seconds on each turn before it will take effect. Keep turning (Try Clockwise First) untill your DAT clocks or the “Prohibited” message goes away…
