How do I set up my Eleven Rack to be used with my audio interface via S/PDIF?

Setting up the Eleven Rack to be used via S/PDIF with your audio interface is simple. Here’s how:

  1. Connect a S/PDIF cable to the S/PDIF output of your Eleven Rack to the S/PDIF input on your interface. If the Eleven Rack is going to be your master clock, this is the only physical connection you need to make. If your audio interface is going to be the master clock, you will also need to connect a S/PDIF cable from the S/PDIF output of your interface to your Eleven Rack.
  2. Next, you will need to set the clock source. On the Eleven Rack, clock source can be set in the User options. If the Eleven Rack is the master, simply pick which sample rate you want to use. If your interface is the master, choose External on the Eleven Rack.
  3. Be sure your audio interface is also set appropriately. If the Eleven Rack is the master, your interface will need to be set to receive clocking information, and be sure that the sample rate matches what you chose on the Eleven Rack. If the interface is the master, simply choose your sample rate for the interface and the Eleven Rack will follow, provided it is set to External clock.
