Do I need to have Kontakt 1 installed in order to install the upgrade to Kontakt 2?
No you do not. The Kontakt 2 install disks are complete installs, however you will need to have Kontakt 1 registered with Native Instruments in order to obtain a valid registration code to unlock your new Kontakt 2.
