Some of the newer virtual instruments have a minimum requirement for isntallation on a PC of a graphics card with Open GL, what does this mean?

to check your version of Open Gl go to
C:\Windows\System32 and right click on the opengl32.dll file and choose properties. Then select the Version tab in the window that opens. This will tell you your current version.
