How do I load my AKAI sample CD into MOTU’s MachFive?

1) Launch MachFive.

2) In the upper left-hand corner of the window is a tab marked “UVI Xtract.” Click on this tab. Once UVI Xtract is open, click on the disc menu (located just above where it says “Partition”).

3) Choose “Insert Sampler Disc” and insert the AKAI CD into the computer. After a moment a list of paritions will appear.

4) You can now select a partition to see its contents, or a volume to see its individual programs. Once you’ve selected a program, click the “save program” tab at the bottom right-hand corner. You can also convert the entire disc by clicking UVI Xtract’s “Disc” tab menu and selecting “Convert Full Disc.”
