MPC One Factory Reset
Overview
In this guide, we will show you how to perform a factory reset on the MPC One. Follow the instructions below to get started. When you perform a factory reset, all user data will be erased and the unit will be returned to its out-of-box state.
Back up user data
Since factory resets will erase all user data, it’s always good practice to back up your settings, projects, and samples to an external drive, such as a hard drive, USB thumb drive, or SD card.
- Connect your external drive to your MPC One.
- Press the Main button, then tap the Folder icon on the touchscreen.
- Select the Programs, Sequences, and samples you wish to back up, then press Save.
- Select your external drive located on the left side of the screen (Storage) and then press Save.
- After the transfer has been complete, tap the Eject icon on the screen and unplug your external storage device.
Importing user data
To import user data after performing a reset, connect the external drive your data is on, press the Browse button, tap Places, and then select the external drive.
Perform a factory reset
Once you’ve backed up your user data, you can then perform a factory reset of the MPC One. It’s a simple process, so follow these steps to reset the device.
- Hold the Shift button and press the Menu button to access the system preferences window.
- Press Info on the touchscreen, then press the Reset button. The unit will then restart.

The estimated required monthly payment shown which excludes taxes and delivery equals the amount financed divided by the number of months in the promo period, rounded up to the next cent. During the last month(s) of the promo period the required monthly payment may be reduced due to this rounding. These payments apply only with the financing offer shown. If you make these payments by the due date each month, you should pay off this amount financed within the promo period, if it is the only balance you are paying off.
