MIDI Tempo information is not imported into Pro Tools when importing a MIDI file, even with “Import Tempo from MIDI File” selected.

When exporting Standard MIDI files from Cubase or Cubase Audio, the MasterTrack must be enabled, otherwise the tempo information will not be written to the MIDI File. If the MasterTrack is turned off, it appears that the midi file exports correctly, yet when opened in Pro Tools, no tempo data can be found.Similarly in Performer the tempo control must be set to “Conductor Track” when the standard MIDI file is created.
