I’m having problems getting my EUCON control surface to talk to my computer.

Avid’s EUCON is a network protocol that allows control surfaces to deeply integrate with DAW software. It communicates using ethernet, IP addresses, etc. For this to work, generally the gear has to be connected properly, then turned on in the proper order so that addresses can be established. If this doesn’t happen, EuCon may not be able to access the control surface.

Fortunately, the EUCON app now features a “Restart EUCON Apps” menu item that helps solve any problems resulting from powering network items on in the wrong order. Simply select this menu item, EUCON restarts, and it takes a fresh look at your control surface and computer, as if you had freshly powered them. It’s a fast and easy solution to any such issues you might encounter.
