I upgraded to Pro Tools 11.0.2 on Windows and now I’m getting the Fatal Error “Could not load imported .DLL for wrapped binary.”
Per Avid:
This issue can occur in the rare event that the Elastic Audio plug-in is not updated properly during the upgrade. To resolve this issue you can either remove or manually update the Elastic Audio plug-in.
To remove the Elastic Audio plug-in:
- Browse to Program Files/Avid/Pro Tools/System Plug-ins.
- Locate the Elastic Audio.aaxplugin folder.
- Right click on the Elastic Audio.aaxplugin folder and select Delete. This will allow Pro Tools to launch but Elastic audio will be disabled.
To manually replace the Elastic Audio plug-in:
- Delete the Elastic Audio.aaxplugin folder as described above.
- Right click on this link and choose “Save Link As…”
- Leave the default file name and type and choose the Desktop as your location and click on “Save”.
- Once the download has completed browse to your desktop, right click on the EAFix_11_0_2.zip, and choose the Extract All option. Leave the destination field set to the default destination (your desktop), and choose “Extract All…”.
- Once the file has finished extracting browse to your desktop and then open the folder named EAFix_11_0_2. You should see a folder named Elastic Audio.aaxplugin. Right click on the Elastic Audio.aaxplugin and choose “Copy”.
- Browse to Program Files/Avid/Pro Tools/System Plug-ins and do one of the following:
- Right click on empty space in the System Plug-ins folder and select “Paste” or-
- While in the System Plug-ins folder use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl-V or-
- While in the System Plug-ins folder go to the Organize drop-down in the Explorer Window and choose “Paste”
This will replace the Elastic Audio plug-ins and allow you to launch Pro Tools with the Elastic Audio option active.
