Fender Studio Software Activation Instructions

1. MyFender Account

An account is required to activate Fender Studio software. If you already have an account to register your new software with, please verify the login and sign in before proceeding. In some cases, users may wish to create another account to distinguish between multiple studios, computers, accounts, etc… 

IMPORTANT! Do not create multiple accounts if you only need one. Instead, try accessing the account using your current login. If necessary, try resetting your password or recovering your account.    

Sign in with an existing MyFender or PreSonus account 

1. Sign out of all Fender and PreSonus accounts.
2. Go to the Fender website.  
3. Click the user icon, enter your current login, and click “Sign In.” 
4. Verify that your current products are registered to the current account. 

Create a new MyFender account

1. Sign out of all Fender and PreSonus accounts.
2. Go to the Fender website. 
3. Click the user icon and then click “Sign up.” 
4. Complete the form and click “Create account.” 
5. Open your email and complete the email verification prompt.   
6. Sign in using your new login to verify your account.  

2. Product & Upgrade Keys

Sweetwater has emailed you either a Product Key or Upgrade Key to activate your software. Open the email, find the code, and follow the steps below to redeem it.  

IMPORTANT! If you are upgrading from a previously registered license, follow the Enter Upgrade Key instructions.

Enter Product Key

1. Go to the MyFender page. 
2. Click the “Register Products” button and select “Software.” 
3. Enter your Product Key and click “Register.” 

Enter Upgrade Key 

1. Go to the My Gear page of your MyFender account. 
2. Click “Recording Software” and select the applicable product to upgrade.  
3. Click the “Upgrade” link located below its Product Key.  
4. Enter the Upgrade Key and click “Upgrade.” 

3. Download & Installation

Fender Studio software is downloaded from the MyFender page.  

IMPORTANT! Fender Studio Pro includes Sound Sets (virtual instruments and loops), demo songs, and tutorial videos. You can customize where that content is downloaded and installed. Learn more about Content Installation for Studio Pro.

Download and install Fender Studio software

1. Go to the MyFender page.  
2. Click the “View Details” button for your product.  
3. Click the download button compatible with your computer. 
   • Select “Show All Systems” to view all available installers.  
   • Click the “Show Bundled Downloads” to view additional content installers.  
4. Open your Downloads folder and run the installer: 
   • PC: Right-click the .zip file, select “Extract all…,” then click “Extract.” In the new folder, double-click the .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
   • Mac: Double-click the .zip file to unpack it. Double-click the .pkg file and follow the on-screen instructions. 

4. Activation

Complete activation by opening Fender Studio Pro and signing in with your login. 

Complete activation

1. Open Fender Studio Pro software.  
2. Sign in with your Fender login.  
3. If prompted, enter the Product Key to complete activation.
