How do I uninstall PLAY libraries from my PC?

  1. Go to the Control Panel from the ‘Start’ menu.
  2. In Windows XP, look for the ‘Add/Remove Programs’ control panel feature, in Vista simply look for ‘Programs’ in the control panel.
  3. Simply select the PLAY Products you want to uninstall and select ‘Remove’ or ‘Uninstall’.

ADVANCED INSTRUCTIONS: To completely remove all PLAY components from your PC, please delete the following.

Windows XP

  • C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data**\East West
  • C:\Program Files\EastWest\
  • C:\Program Files\Common Files\East West\Vstplugins (default vst location selected by installer)
  • C:\Program Files\Common Files\Digidesign\DAE\Plug-Ins\ -> play_rtas.dpm and play_rtas.dpm.rsr

Windows Vista & Windows 7

  • C:\Program Data** \All Users\Application Data*\East West
  • C:\Program Files\EastWest\
  • C:\Program Files\Common Files\East West\Vstplugins (default vst location selected by installer)
  • C:\Program Files\Common Files\Digidesign\DAE\Plug-Ins\ -> play_rtas.dpm and play_rtas.dpm.rsr

** These are hidden folders, you must set windows to view hidden folders.

PLEASE NOTE: Uninstalling your PLAY product this way does not remove the ‘sample library’ portion of the product, that you will have to drag to the recycle bin manually
