Exchange 2.2 Compatibility With Kurzweil Files
If you have or are installing Mac OS 8.1 beware that it installs PC Exchange v2.2, which is the most current version. The problem is that it doesn’t read Kurzweil files as it should. PC Exchange v2.1.1 works correctly and can be downloaded from Apple’s FTP site or from our friend C. K. Haun, an Apple employee who is also a fellow Kurzweil fanatic. Simply drag your current PC Exchange (in your Control Panel Folder) to the trash and put this new one in its place. Immediately restart before doing anything else.
