Crane Song Software Activation Instructions

In this guide, we will show you how to register, download, and activate your Crane Song plug-in. Follow the sections below to get started.

Create an iLok account

Crane Song software is licensed with iLok. That means in order to use it, you will need to connect its iLok license to an iLok USB stick. If you don’t already have an iLok account, you’ll need to create one and install the iLok License Manager app. Follow the steps below to get started. 1. Visit iLok’s registration page and complete the registration form. Take note of your User ID and password.
2. Open the iLok Account Activation email and click on the verification link.
3. Download and install the iLok License Manager.
4. Launch the iLok License Manager app and sign in to your iLok account.
   • (optional) Connect an iLok and when prompted, click Yes to register it to your account.

Activate plug-in with iLok

The next step in the activation process is to register and activate it to your iLok account. You will need to enter the activation code you received from your Sweetwater Sales Engineer then transfer it to a connected iLok USB dongle. Follow these steps to activate the plug-in.

1. Connect the iLok USB dongle to your computer and sign in to iLok License Manager.
2. Click the “..I” button (next to the search bar) to view the activation prompt.
3. Enter the activation code your Sweetwater Sales Engineer sent, then click Next.
4. Click the Available tab, and then drag and drop the license into the iLok icon.

Download & install the software

Once you have created an iLok account, the final step in the process is to download the plug-in. Crane Song plug-ins are only compatible with Pro Tools, so be sure you have the latest version installed. Follow these steps to download and install the software.

1. Visit the Crane Song plug-ins page and click the plug-in you purchased.
2. Scroll down to the end of the product’s page, click the Links to download page, then download the installer for your OS.
3. Open your Downloads folder, double-click the .exe file (PC) or double-click the .zip file then run the .pkg file (Mac).
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
